Erina Guraziu of OpenCom led the presentation and testing of Agora Lake during the training in Helsinki.

In the first part of the interview Erina explains what Agora Lake is and how it guides VET students through a learning path on sustainable entrepreneurship. An adaptive platform in which students become sustainable entrepreneurs called to develop their own business idea in smart clothing, looking for the right balance between people, planet and profit.

In the second part Erina tells us what shifted after the week in Helsinki. The teachers confirmed that Agora Lake does not work like a traditional online course, linear and the same for everyone, but as a continuous coaching experience, grounded in Bloom's taxonomy and Vygotsky's scaffolding.

Anu Kaseva of LHKK led the day on pedagogical escape rooms during the training in Helsinki.

In the first part of the interview Anu explains what a pedagogical escape room is and why it works in the classroom. It is a learning activity in which students solve problems and, in doing so, are pushed to be active: discussing, putting to use what they already know, reasoning together. A method that shifts the student's whole stance towards knowledge.

In the second part Anu tells us why in Helsinki she had the teachers play before walking them through the theory. Pedagogical escape rooms are grounded in experimentation, and only by going through the mechanism do you really grasp how it works, and become able to design one of your own.

🇫🇮 Pekka Salokannel (3DBear): "With video you stay outside the box. With XR you step inside it»

Pekka Salokannel of 3DBear led the day on XR tools during the training in Helsinki.

In the first part of the interview Pekka explains what XR is and why it is worth bringing into the classroom. The difference with traditional video, he says, is the one between watching a scene from the outside and finding yourself inside the scene. For a student preparing for a job interview or a construction site, being able to simulate the situation and go through it first-hand changes the very way competence is built.

In the second part Pekka points to where a VET teacher should begin in building their own simulation-based content: starting from artificial intelligence as a compass, then moving on to a map of tools for every need, from 360° simulations to interactive avatars.

🇫🇮 Raija Salo (LHKK): "A week in which teachers discovered that teaching can take many shapes»

Raija Salo is the SEiSC project lead for LHKK, the Finnish vocational training institute that promotes the initiative.

In the first part of the interview Raija tells us what the VET teachers from across Europe took away with them: the discovery that pedagogy can travel along very different paths from the traditional one of the teacher who explains and the students who listen. The day on pedagogical escape rooms was, in her words, an eye-opener even for those who thought they already knew the format.

In the second part Raija takes stock of the project's closing phase, due in October 2026 with the final consortium meeting in Ankara, and of what SEiSC is handing over to the European education community: the MOOC already online, the Agora Lake platform now being finalised, a VET training model ready to be picked up and adopted.
